I didn't check in on the demo yesterday, and when I talk to that girl who was waiting to meet some guy, she just says "It was so fun hanging out at the beach!"
So you can't do the time-based events AFTER the days they're counting down to, only on the exact day? That's pretty shit. So I guess this is a warning and a reminder to you guys to not miss any countdown days.
That said, what did I miss? What was the event about, and what possible item(s) do I miss out on sending to the full version of the game?

You just missed out on a Machamp walking down the street to pick up the girl before she tells you "okay now leave us alone".
Literally nothing else. And since the game doesn't save, it doesn't matter if you talked to her or not.

You can save manually by talking to the Old Man on the rock trail.
So now she just stands there talking about what a nice day she had at the Beach.

I have a different problem where I set my clock to a proper time, and for the last few days she's been saying her mysterious rescuer returns in 4 days. I don't care so much about triggering the encounter with Machamp, I just want the future events to work too.
