I use my bros for single player, easy as shit anyways. For post game/online I play in tiers so it depends. Typically I try to find gimmicky shit to try with my bros. Taking down kids or nips using all ubers with some shitmons feels glorious.

My buddy is big into pokemon, got all versions of all games, knows the meta inside and out and always has a strong set of pokemon. All Ev trained and full IVs

I have jokey gimmick pokemon that I found in my pokeboxes. I usually slap them together to make fun team compositions. I'm talking shit like stunfisk and carbink. Chesnaught appears in a load of these compositions as my stall for time pokemon.

I win half the games I play against this guy. It's hilarious. You can have the strongest pokemon in the world but it don't matter if your opponent is using ridiculously out there tactics. It's why FEAR is a thing.

I'm kinda in the same boat, expect not only is my friend into comp pokemon, he's also into comp smash bros.

I don't know jackshit about the indepth meta shit of either games, I just play both Pokemon and Smash for fun. Yet he struggles to beat me in Smash and insists on thinking competitive Pokemon is the hardest thing ever made in existence.

Competitive scenes are so fucking stupid I swear.
