Mimikyu actually makes a lot of sense, and it would be nice to have another cute Pokémon fighter in Smash. If not them, then I would expect either one of the final starter evolutions (leaning toward Robinhoot), one or both forms of Lycanroc, or MAYBE Type: Null/Silvally.

Robinhoot is definitely the best pick. If both Charizard and Greninja return, it would complete the starter type trio. It's also really marketably cool, and Ash appears to be getting Rowlet in the anime, so it seems kinda obvious to me. As long as Smash Switch releases during gen 7, I'd say that Robinhoot is the second most likely character to be added period, right after Inklings.

I'd also love Mimikyu, though.

fairy/ghost z-move for final smash (maybe a Ryu situation for the ghost one up close, fairy one from afar). And its promoted as one of the faces of the gen

Robinhoot and Greninja are just too much similar both in appareance and the way they fight. In the end it would be like having both Lucario and Zoroark in a smash game, this would be redundant as fuck.

Yeah no, Robinhoot is clearly based on greninja and fit the same cool, and calm minded archetype with an androgynious design, except, one fire arrows, the other toss shurikens.

In a fighing game they would have a very similar play still, that could be okay BUT we are talking about smash bros, each characters need to have a good reason to be there, and i don't want a lesser greninja over something like Sylux from metroid or the 3 billions character that deserve a spot in this game way more than the owl.
