They could have made some great designs, but they ended up making a lot of forgettable things. How come no water type got an alola form ? Would make a lot of sense in different waters, like an alolan goldeen or something.
Or heck, some more fire types, or bug types since they adapt very quickly.

Pidgeot doesn't need it
Arbok I could see, but Arbok is a cobra which doesn't evoke hawaii, a water snake overhauls its theme

Does hawaii have bats? Are the bats at all distinct to change zubat, golbat, and crobat?

Most of the Alola forms have been to change monotypes into dark or ice to expand the Gen 1 roster. The others are fun divergences.

Alolan Persian is a clear downgrade from regular Persian. Thinking about it strictly as an evolution of Meowth it makes sense. But it's hard not to compare it to OG Persian.
