I just finished pokemon Y after basically dropping the series for a year. It doesn't look like there's much to do in the post-game other than the battle maison, and I'm craving more pokemon.
Is it worth it to drop 40 bucks on ORAS? or would I do better to just get Yellow on the virtual console?
Is ORAS worth the price tag if I'm not even going to be playing it for a month?

Objectively, there's more to do in the post-game in ORAS. It has a lot of legendary pokemon to catch. Subjectively, I fucking hate Hoenn. It's a fucking awful region and I fucking hate it with all my might. Personally, I don't think it's worth it. Especially with S/M being so close to release.

all I said was that I was done with XY and there wasn't any postgame to keep me playing.

ORAS are good games as long as you don't compare them to Emerald. I'd say get it, and then get SM next month.
