I've noticed Kanto's been getting a lot of hate recently, but they're still good good
Can we have a Kanto Apprication Thread?

I just really enjoy these games' nonlinearity+exploration

What the fuck did I type
I like the Kanto region and its Pokemon designs a lot. I like the story and characters just fine too. Didn't grow up during Gen 1, so I can only really stand FR/LG. But yeah Kanto is nice.

Mate, it's about as non-linear as everother Pokemon game, Platinum is the most non-linear game if anything.
Anyway, aside from people who peaked when they were 10 and laude Kanto as the greatest, I quite like Kanto. Two of my top 10 mons are from there. I'm just sick of seeing it every generation.
Kanto is receiving a lot of hate recently because other regions are unjustly receiving no love at all.

>platinum is the most nonlinear
Anon DP is more than that
The games also have probably the most exploration rewards
For all the stuff they re use from Kanto, they really don't capitalize on the theme of exploring the region very closely like the legendary birds

>other regions are unjustly receiving no love at all
those are the wisest word on this community/fanbase/fandom.

Kanto was one of the worst regions, honestly. Being slightly nonlinear was a good idea on paper but in practice it didn't work because the concept of levels is inherently linear.

This. Instead, damn near everything is almost handed to you on a silver platter because the story will handheld you straight into it.
I miss stuff like Kyurem, Giratina, and the birds.
