A space based Pokemon game could be interesting.

Like, imagine playing a star catching mini game while floating in space.

Imagine having to try to battle in 3D rather than 2D. Control the pokemon moving up down, side to side while throwinf moves at each other.

Imagine getting your own little hovering scooter to ride about or even a small ship.

Each gym is on a different asteroid you have to fly to.
