Nope, you could hack the apricorn balls into your bag in Gen 6 but the game wouldn't actually let you use them in battle.

The real question isn't whether they exist, but if they function properly. Would a Moon Ball still have its proper effect, or is it just a re-skinned pokeball?

This. I have some Misdreavus in Moon Balls in ORAS that are transferred. The data exists, but you can't legally use he balls to catch things.

Hopefully SM gives us back Apricorn balls but I doubt it

They actually programmed the balls to work in this game. That's the key.

Are we sure they're even usable? Couldn't they just be in the code because the game needs it to display mons that were caught with them in HGSS?

since GF have trainers use other pokeballs besides the normal Pokemon, I had a feeling they would bring back Apricorn balls since it will give more options/variety, something tells me there will be a stall or some sort of place where you can buy Apricorns/Apricorn balls, maybe it'll be something in the Plaza area?

Either way, these balls should've been available in every game since Gen 2, I'm over GF taking things out that people actually enjoy.

I mean it makes sense, while it's basically Gen 1 pandering it's still meant to be GS inspired sequels for XY. And plus the whole "nature" thing which apricorn lore and balls can build off of. Plus seriously with all the mons running around them game freak should know by know to just keep them in the fucking games.

They should update the Apricorn Balls so they don't fucking suck. Make the Moon Ball effective on Pokémon that evolves by ANY evolutionary stone, for example.

If you can do this with dream balls and sports balls, it probably means the apricorn balls aren't coming back. I mean, the dream world certainly isn't.
