Am I the only one who likes Pokemon on portable consoles? Its my favorite travel game, I love that I can play it wherever I want. I don't think pokemon is vastly improved by super HD graphics either, the cute style suits it better. Plus nips love thier handhelds so I wouldn't expect a mainline; maybe another coliseum or stadium type game though.

It may be different in Japan. Basically Gamefreak looks at how well the interactions between players with the handhelds are there, so they continue to focus on keeping that aspect of interactivity between players alive. I don't think the NX will have that problem due to it being portable, and it would finally allow people to play on TV like they've always wanted, but people will always be negative I guess.

Sucks to be you, my friend came to visit for 2 weeks and he was playing his ps4 from across the north sea just fine until his ps4 shut off because of an update forcing it to power down.

Look at the state of that thing, it's like a housebrick, who wants to try and take that thing away with them on holiday? How long does the batter last? Can I just shove games into the tablet part of it and play them on the go without touching the console? How do I charge the tablet portion without access to the console?

I can honestly see the Switch taking off BIG. Nintendo's handhelds have been their big sellers and people are getting pretty pissy about the PS4 Pro and Scorpio(or whatever the fuck they're calling it), having to shell out more duckets to use the cool new VR shit and getting lied to about 4K gaming.
This thing is 2 consoles in 1 for the now-reduced price of the basic PS4/Xbone, it is what it is since Nintendo doesn't do these console "refreshes" like Sony and Microsoft, and it's a great size for a portable since everyone is carrying backpacks, messenger bags, etc these days.
