Now that we know Battle Royale is a bigger thing, maybe we'll get elements of PWT in it. Afterall, Hawaii is a vacation spot, which would explain all the visiting trainers. It also seems very fitting for the 20th anniversary.

Hoenn and Johto may be based on Japan, but that doesn't mean in the fictional world of Pokemon that they are the same country. And plus, we don't see the passport in the Demo, which could suggest Alola is in the same country as Kanto for the games (obviously not for their real life counterparts), which makes sense since the Alolan Dex has 80+ Kanto, more than actual new Pokemon. So we might get a Sevii island type of deal or Kalos fucking confirmed. But we won't know yet for sure until less than a month.
