Has anyone noticed that there's no lava Pokemon in Hawaii?

Speaking of lava, are any of the Hawaiian volcanoes active? I've heard volcanic soil is very fertile, so would it be safe to live near one?

Does alolan dugtrio count? It's based on a volcanic phenomenon.

Kilauea is actually the most active volcano on Earth. It's a shield though, so the flow is pretty controlled except when it happens to flow near a housing division. The soil is pretty good due to the minerals from the volcano. Certain areas also get heavy rainfall due to the height of the mountains.

Well we already have stigma, so another magma blob might not be the best idea. Camerupt's line as well as magmar's are also there. Turtonator seems pretty volcano specific with its sulfur diet, and slandit exists.

True. It's very strange.

But we have yet to prove that lava mon is not fake. But I'm not buying it.

What's even more strange is the fact that Slugma, literally a lava slug Pokemon, is not in the regional dex.

I really like Mimikyu's shiny. It perfectly fits with its theme.

For those of you wondering why no slugma, maybe they are there. Just still relaxing in the magma, rather than bothering with the surrounding island or surface, or forced out like a more violent eruption might cause. Going with this as my head canon at least-there, but could give less of a fuck about the surface than a snail does business finance normally unless they are forced to.
