The only Pokemon I've been consistently transferring up every generation is a clone of my original Sceptile from Emerald.

They are the actual game run natively on the 3DS so you could easily inject a save file from your cart if you have a cart reader.

Last I checked, you'll still need CFW to edit VC saves, not just a simple homebrew channel and app. It's hard to get CFW these days if you missed out on the last easy chance a year ago.

I have transferred some Pokemon, but usually I just leave them in their original gen. I just don't see any reason to transfer them over and it already takes too much effort to do. I also don't like thought of the old games being ''empty'' of Pokemon.

This. I transfer post game. I've been transferring since gen 3 when it was possible so I have many different versions of legendaries. Having boxes for legendaries makes me wonder which versions of the legendaries I want to put in those boxes. This kills my OCD lol
