Why does GameFreak continue to pander to Genwunners despite them hating current Pokemon games? They've showed time and time again that they want nothing new, so giving Megas or alternate forms to Kanto Pokemon does nothing. If anything, it makes them hate the games even more.

Next highest are normal and flying, at 39 and 37.
Fire only has 17 - INCLUDING the forms for Oricorio, Castform, and Silvally.
Poison only has 16 including Silvally.

There are still 20 Pokemon that need their types revealed, as do the ultra beasts and whatever the mini-Solgaleo and mini-Lunala things are. So it could balance out more. But it's not very likely.
