I wonder, if UltraBeasts count as Pokémon (shiny forms makes it seem likely, unless they're just there as placeholders or something and will go unused), how are they going to be implemented? Will they be the bad guys or something?

No, it's not like that, and the first one isn't the only one that does it.
Basically it's kind of like the dojo, except you get 1 floor premade dungeons that are some kind of puzze. I know there's a final one that's more than 1 floor, but I don't know how that works as I haven't got there yet.

For fun. To make the game have something more. We could just have a dungeon or two that are premade, maybe with some gimmick. Of course, we'd need to think about it. If we make some Pokémon have unique behaviours it would probably be easier to do.

Honestly feel like the plots for these games are so melodramatic. It felt forced half the time, and having the same exact ending play out four games in a row only makes the "sad ending" less emotional.

The main thing I think needs to change for the stories is the character set up. Was never a fan of the player/partner thing, and it was especially bad in Rescue Team (where the partner did fuck all) and Super (Where the player did fuck all)

Honestly, I'm not into PMD because of the plot, and Super pretty much turned me off from PMD stories in general because of how awful it is. Mostly in it for the atmosphere of its locations, and simply broing it out with my favorite mons (having only one partner in the games sucks though). I headcanon in a completely different story, even if it's far less "grand" it's just something I'd personally prefer over shit like FE Awakening with blander characters and Super's downright atrocious second half

I wouldn't mind if the next game did away with the whole "save the world" deal, but how would the player coming to the pokemon world be explained? Through some side making a wish?

Is there a way for users of custom starters to give themselves egg moves a la Bite Riolu? I'm thinking about using Rattata for a "hard mode" challenge, and I'd like to give him Flame Wheel so I don't suffer quite so much.

What game? If it's Super and you're using Rattata through NTR, you can edit the move values too, or change the pre-evolved values to be a mon that knows the move.

All 3 are available. They're the same plotwise and gameplay-wise, but the mon selection's a bit different. Blazing has Growlithe and Nincada, Stormy has Houndour and Zigzagoon, and Light has Poochyena and Electrike, for example.

The saves are also connected, so if there's mons in other versions that you want, you could just download and install the other games and get them there.

PMD lives off of forced drama and non-characters. The story isn't that good, even in Explorers.

The saves are shared, and all link together to form one bigger game. The main problems with Adventure Squad are little story and the fact it's entirely in Japanese.

Unless you have a Japanese console, the only way you're playing those is by installing the files on a hacked Wii or using Dolphin.
