Ground/Grass is actually a really bad typing even though it sounds good. Trust me I've been suckered into loving Torterra and trying to use it many times.

I also know how painful it is to like Torterra but it's a pretty decent typing on a fast mon if it keeps a similar speed tier to normal Dugtrio then it could be pretty good.
Its movepool already has stone edge for bug/flying types so the only issue are grass types.

yes, but the way you normally use Arena Trap is for revenge killing and Dugtrio has like 2x more speed than Swampert so it shouldn't be a problem

Yeah but it's also commonly used as a lead (It definitely won't if they see Alo-Dug on the enemy team) and even then it could be revenge killed easily assuming he didn't set up rain.
