Sucks that it's only gen 1 pandering when Megas were more spread. But I've gotten 3 of my 4 favorite gen 1 mons with Alolan forms I love so I can't complain too much.

First time I played was my neighbor's Yellow. First game I actually owned and played for myself was Gold.
Since some time before BW came out. My earliest memory of this board was when the ROM dropped.
I guess because I like Pokemon and 4chan boards have always been informative. I don't know why I'm still here though. I hate it now, the average /vp/ user is a completely childish dumbass.
I love the Alola Forms. Don't like how the Unique Z-Moves seem to be Gen 1 only so far. I think Gen 6 pandered Gen 1 fans enough with the Gen 1 starters being gifted and given Megas, as well as most of the legendaries in XY being Gen 1 legendaries.

Played competitively in gen 4 and decided to get back into it in time for gen 7.
Gen 1 and 2 still has some of my favourite designs so I'm cool with it. I'd definitely prefer Johto pandering though.

Poké-Rides being mostly Gen 1 mons is annoying (we have Gogoat, Tauros is unnecessary). Exclusive Z-Moves being restricted to Gen1s is also pretty dumb. It often feels like GameFreak is giving too much attention to first-genners instead of focusing on making a fresh experience and giving proper attention to new mons

Pokemon Crystal that i bought used from gamestop, I remember lookin' at the guy before me's team and his info and his name was Damon, but dumb-young me was like "DEMON! what a COOL EDGY NAME" so my name was demon in my first run through

Well since my first gen was gen 2, i think it's kind of cool that theres a lot of gen 1 pandering because, i never got to experience gen 1. It feels like there was this ruined civilization that thrived just before my time and people keep referencing it and it all keeps going straight over my head.

I was around when it birthed but I lurked. Just this year I started returning regularly and posting.
I was around when it first showed its face so I always knew it was here; it's unfiltered and that's how I prefer my news or memes.
It's a good way to inspire more diversity in the Pokemon World. I love the idea overall.

my first game was Blue, but I was like 6 or something so I don't have that many memories of it. Sapphire was when I really got into it and was smart enough to know what I was doing.
I've been on this board since it split from /v/ don't remember exactly when that was but some time before black/white if I remember correctly. Not sure though it's a long time ago.
Came because I enjoyed the pokethreads on /v/ and thought I was a great idea to make a pokeboard.
Well obviously the alolan forms are created to lure older fans of the franchise back, exactly like pokemon go. That being said I'm totally fine with it, it's a fun concept. Also looking forward to future redesigns in the next couple of gens.
