gen 6 is literally tied for second for least amount of representatives. it wouldn't have killed them to put in the most popular gen 6 pokemon. gen V should probably have another rep too, i think they explicitly had to poll for popular gen V pokemon to get chandelure, but amount of reps can't be the reason there's no greninja.

There's a lot of weird misses. But I think they probably wanted to contain themselves so many fighting types would obviously qualify for this, plus there's the iconic fighting types like blaziken or lucario that doesn't necessarily HAVE to be in a pokemon themed tekken game since they aren't necessarily themed around a specific fighting style but is so iconic of a pokemon that it had to be in.

Smash bros has 58 characters in it. Now, I understand that's a huge established franchise. But this is a fucking big Pokemon game, they couldn't launch the game with 20 characters? That's why Pokken failed. People couldn't get to play as their favorites.
