I expect Palkia and Dialga to tie directly to Marshadow as a segue into Sinnoh remakes

Making Deoxys available in ORAS in the story was on the right track to this as well. I'd love it if in future generations they slowly made more Mythicals into Proper legendaries with their own plot sidequests.

This is bait, but I'll bite. Arceus was referenced plenty of times in DPPt, albeit as "The Original One" and not by actual name. Even if you didn't know about it or its in-game event due to hacking or serebii, you knew there was some greater more omnipotent power that had created Sinnoh, Dialga/Palkia/Giratina and the pixies
