What's your favourite attack animation? Any gen edition.

Gen 3, most of the attack animations are fast and crisp and it feels so good.
Ice beam, Sky Uppercut, and leaf blade were my favourites.

Gen 5's bullet punch was nice too.

Can't think of many aside from retaliate I like in Gen 6, most of the attacks look and feel plastic.

I think I just realized why I don't like most of the gen 6 attack animations, and it's mostly because of the sound design. The sounds are so underwhelming, especially because anything that isn't a critical hit sounds like dragging a wet slab of chest across a xylophone.

Gen 1 rock slide was dope.

Gen 2 Sky attack was just hilarious, aeroblast is indeed epic.

Gen 3 superpower was intense, also overkill return.

Gen 4 Fireblast was beautiful.

Gen 5 had the best poison gunk in my opinion.

Gen 6 has Explosion, Earthquake, Fireblast and Thunder as strong contenders, head smash really feels intense too.

Gen 7 Gave us the best Draco Meteor I have seen so far in the trailers.

Anyone else love the updated attack animations in Sun/Moon? They look much more vibrant and punchy.

Gen 6 Calm Mind is my jam. Plus Retaliate and Power Whip, too.

I like the ones that get away from normal attack styles the most.

RBY Hyper Beam and FRLG Magnitude 10 are my favourites. I like anything that shakes the camera hard and makes the screen flash violently, it's a very simple animation but really satisfying.
