It's confirmed, yes, but you'll have to collect bottle caps and level the Pokemon up to 100 first. Not a problem with events, but still a pain in the ass.

Yes

Looks like it. Only issue is if it'll be any quicker than destiny knot breeding for regular mons. Either way it'll make legitimate legendaries with decent IVs less of a hastle for those of us that prefer within to play within the game.

With bank not coming til later it's up to probably E4 farming which is a decent time sink anyway. Of course Exp. share will cut it a lot so it'll still be fast. Also if your mon has good egg moves and there's no other way to get them then this help.

Alola doesn't have a league, so no E4.

For average Pokemon, it will be far less work to just hyper train a ditto and use that for breeding. Hyper training is for legendaries and imperfect shinies.

For Game Freak to appeal to the Faceless Horde of the Unwashéd like a servile hound dog, wholly as marketing manouvre aimed at consumers to flirt with l'idée of acquiring their penultimate sorry, pitiful and I mean pitiful endeavor of regurgitating a franchise past its prime, is pathétique. Modifying Individual Values is an atrocity that only benefits the Unwilling for the undertaking of legitimate, dog-eat-dog 'Mons. And for what purpose is this other than to appeal to the Lowest Common Denominator, all the while humiliating the grandest of zealots in this muckuppery by essentially elucidating to them publiquement the innumerous myriads of hours obtaining competitive Pokémon were, shall I say, in VAIN?

I am astounded for the years perfecting the craft of competitive IV attainment, supporting a video game development studio with fervent zealous devotion, only to have my loyalty lampooned by the very studio I believed was above hearkening to Les Misérables unworthy of their attention.
