its not bad once you get a hang of it, I got 8 shiny eevees in about three hours the other day. 45 shiny all together in about a month just in platinum.

Friendly reminder that the DexNav doesn't increase your odds of encountering a shiny Pokémon. It only makes it more likely to get the shiny Pokémon you want by literally only encountering the desired Pokémon.

Using dexnav (you dont need to chain) increase your chance a lot. I found about 8 shinies in less than 200 encounters and 4 more in about 400.
I think the odds of finding one is minimum as in friend safari. Remember you dont need to chain so dont worry if chain breaks just keep trying.

what are you even talking about, pokeradar chaining is easier and you can get as many fucking shinies as you want once you get that chain up to 40, I usually get around 10 in one session before I get bored
