Nah, they gotta cash in on the z move hype. If we're getting new megas it's not until we get either a third version (highly unlikely nowadays) or a remake game.

We might actually get new Megas, I'm not banking on it hard to be honest, I'm already happy with the fact that I can still destroy people with my Salamence, it's a bummer I won't be able to use mega Mawile and Salamence on this year VGC though.

If anything it will be exclusively for the Johto starters just to have a fair playing field about who gets megas

If that comes true, here's hoping to Sinnoh starter megas in their remakes.

It's not impossible but I'm thinking this set of games is all about unique variants. So for now it's just the same megas, and the DP remakes will bring new megas and Sinnoh forms.

If we do get any, it'll probably be a very limited amount.
