The last time I cut myself off for X and Y, a few friends and faggot "friend of friend"s decided to talk about shit openly right in front of me despite me telling them I was cut off. Didn't help that most of it was them bitching about the low numbers, hating on Heliolisk (when I was excited for Helioptile's evolution) and Pumpkaboo (which I ended up really liking), and that they're the kind of dipshits that go full autism if I spoil something as old as Sephiroth killing Aerith like I'm supposed to know they never played or heard about something over a decade old.

I don't hang out with most of them anymore but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth and kinda ruined the build up hype I was trying to keep by going in blind for the first time since gen 2 or 3. Dunno if it'll be worth going dark this time.

BW1/2 I always knew the plot for because Japanese release came out months before the English. I was even playing Gen 5 metagame on PO before I played BW

ORAS hype ended badly because game freak didn't include features desu
