Setting is super comfy and fun. Characters are just designs right now, but the designs are good. No idea if they're actually interesting.

New pokemon designs are super good with one or two exceptions, but on the whole this is the highest average design quality we've seen in fucking forever. I love the concept of Alolan Forms, but right now none of them have really made me fall in love.

I'm counting abilities and such as mechanics, and thus they are knocking it out of the fucking park. I'm so excited for shenanigans in online battling. Music thus far has been great but I'm already tired of the battle music we heard in a million trailers.

Pretty similar to you OP. Although I do like the Alolan forms. But I feel like its too early to really rate the music. Although I do really like Team Skull's theme.

I'm more hyped for the region and new Amie than anything else. Some of the new designs are really bad.

I don't know enough about it to like it, though I don't like tropical settings much in the first place.

I don't know enough about any of them to like them, though I am expecting Lillie to be Zinnia 2.0.

Probably the worst batch of designs yet, and Ohmura's poor art doesn't help. Still has a few I really like.
>Regional Forms
Great concept squandered with awful designs. Exeggutor, Ninetales, and Marowak are the only decent ones.
>New Mechanics
Z-Moves are terrible, the DigiFarm is really cool, the successor to Join Avenue and Super Secret Bases is cool, and everything else isn't even remarkable enough for me to recall.
>Music
The battle themes so far are a big improvement to XY who only had two good battle themes, but nothing else has stood out to me.

Overall I need to play the fucking game to make an assessment and not just take in the unelaborated basics that marketing throws us.
