I wouldn't call it bad it had a few really good themes but after going back to listen to it a lot of the themes were meh at best.

This is still the hands down best theme from X and Y

Seem pretty good to me except that awful theme that was probably the rival battle music.

I really hated xy's trainer battle and gym leader battle music, and that's usually what I look forward to the most.

Laverre and Snowbelle city themes are two of my favorite pieces of music out of all the games.

These days I don't pay much attention to the soundtracks. I don't have time to consistently play the games anymore, and when I can play them it's almost never in a setting where I could play with the volume on/headphones on.

That being said, I spent third through sixth grade engrossed by Diamond, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Black. Being a little bipolar social outcast, those soundtracks were a major part of that time in my life. Almost every theme brings back a range of intense emotion boosted by nostalgia (you know, what Game Freak banks on now).

Either way, I hope this upcoming soundtrack is damn memorable; maybe 10 years from now some anon will be saying the same about Sun and Moon.
