>the evil Aether
Man I hope this doesn't happen if only for the entirety of the internets pokememesters to get BTFO.

>thinks people being able to see a mindblowingly obvious plot twist are "pokememesters"
Seriously I could show the trailers featuring Aether to plenty of people who have no interest in Pokémon, and they'd easily peg them as evil, that's how obvious it is.
>>29090229
Well that's not entirely impossible

This.
The fact its so painfully obvious and overdone is exactly why I think its something gamefreak would do, thinking its a good twist.
Would also help teach kids that just because something has a pretty face doesn't mean you should trust it.

>7 trials.
It's 7 trials per island, not 7 in total.
BUT WHO IS THE BIG KAHUNA OF HANAHUNA?
>>29090188
How sure are we there are only 7 though? Like absolutely sure?
We know four of them are on the same Island so it'd be weird for other three to have one each. And given that you don't battle every one of them 8 for battling, 8 for quests seemed very likely.
>>29091130
It came from a site claiming there were 7 per island
People said 28 is impossible and that they must have meant 7 in total
the site corrected it to "several" at a later time

I don't think it's necessarily 7 per island, I think there might be a varying number per island, but always more than one.
>>29091203
7 total just seems low given that they're not all battles and due to to four of them being on the same island. I just can't get behind that being the correct number.

What if there's one per type? Two islands with four captains, two islands with five.
