Well, in sinnoh appeared new forms for unown and its kind of tied with Arceus, maybe there its still hope.

I think they can get away with giving Unown a rightful and powerful Mega. All they'd have to do is make it get something along the lines of Schooling with one extra little rule. Let's go over its mega first.

Now, this doesn't buff it, obviously. It sucks completely still. However, "Unknown Power" doubles all of its base stats. Schooling changes it to a new form, and this will too. Mega Unknown by itself might have a unique look, but Unknown Power calls other Unknown to it, just like with Schooling. This buffs its base stats to:

This puts its BST to 872. Insane. However, it still only has Hidden Power as an offensive move. One quirk of Unknown Power is that it gives it an additional three moves; Unknown Blast, Unknown Healing, and Unknown Defense. Unknown Blast is a 90 BP 100 ACC Psychic move [so basically Psychic.] Unknown Healing is a Psychic-type Recover clone. Unknown Defense raises its Defense and SpDef by one stage, just like Cosmic Power. Now you have a STAB move, healing, and something to set up with if the situation demands it. You also have one coverage move courtesy of Hidden Power.

Unown is now at least usable, potentially good.
