Having pokemon follow you makes the game 100x more comfy Will

I loved it in yellow. Maybe in the diamond pearl remakes.

Maybe in the far future, when all Pokemon have an overworld model.
There's still the size problem, so maybe it will only be available to a few group of Pokemon

I'd say if a future game reintroduced it, meeting these requirements would fix the issue of every Pokemon. Can't have big pokes running into stuff, and too small, you won't see it. Non legendaries only would also cut down on the wank.

Probably not gonna happen. Too many models to make, and GameFreak cant be fucked putting any effort into anything anymore.

Diamond/Pearl remakes will have Amity Square with maybe an updated selection of Pokemon, but thats it.

I want to make a rom hack where you see those sprites on the map like in some rpgs you can see the monsters and avoid fights by walking away plus it would make grinding and finding mons easier the only problem is the map would have to be fucking huge

Going to later games it really surprised me how empty they felt without it. Amie's an alright replacement I guess but it doesn't feel nearly as natural, I would hope it appears in later gens and integrates with Amie as well.

Or at the very least Amie should get varying world models when you initiate it depending on where you are and a smoother transition sequence between it and the main game. That might work.

Nah nigga, by the time they do the next game/generation after Sun and Moon, there will most likely be a new console out (whether that's a console-handheld hybrid or just a 3DS successor). The current Pokemon models are probably too high poly for the overworld on the 3DS, but on a more capable console I don't see why they couldn't just use the battle models already available.

I do like it, but there should be an opt out. I think there should be none, stay and switch option really. None being, obviously none follow you, stay would be that one pokemon follows you regardless of who's at the head of your team (automatically switches to switch if that pokemon is put in the pc) and switch is just like it was in hgss.
