It grew on me after I realized that it's supposed to be a living pear instead of a dinosaur with anime eyes.

I also like Jynx a lot more since someone pointed out that its black face was actually supposed to be darkness because it has no body and is just a dress and a wig being controlled by some sort of psychic power. I hate how it's literally a fat woman with purple skin now.

This mutant pear is unironically my favorite pokemon of all time. It's the only pokemon that I ever wished was a digimon. She has so much potential. But she's stuck in a dying videogame series owned by the most incompetent developers in existence. She sucks in battle, can't digivolve into cool shit and can't even talk. Such a waste of a perfect design.

Seriously, she should be a fucking digimon. She's too perfect for Pokemon.

I love every single starter, all of them, true story, and hate faggots who feel the need to take a shit on them because they didn't evolve in the exact thing they imagined.

It's tanky as fuck with eviolite. It can use synthesis, aromatherapy and toxic. It can do decent damage with gigadrain. And it works even better under the sun. I just wish it had better abilities.

Bayleef and regenerator Corsola are my favorite pokemon for competitive battles. I use them in almost every team. I don't always win, but they aren't bad at all, even in OU.

I've always seen Bayleef as an edgy pokemon because I loved Totodile, which means that Silver always chose Chikorita.

The fact that Meganium's old sprite was legit scary doesn't help. It's weird, but I think this starter fit his personality a lot more than Typhlosion or Quilava.

I mean, look at this monster. It's a huge, bulky DINOSAUR that can eat you alive if you try to touch any of her little chikoritas. And it doesn't have teeth because it doesn't need them. It's a giant fucking dinosaur. The sheer strength of its jaw can rip off your head.

It looks like a pussy since gen 3, though. It's probably the perspective. The original sprite made it look a lot bigger and its facial expression was badass as fuck. Now it's just a slightly tall dinosaur with a stupid face.

Actually, now that I look at it... I kinda like Meganium. It's not as cute as Bayleef, but it's just as badass and imposing as Venusaur, without being an ugly fatass toad with warts all over his body.

It's a shame that this Meganium doesn't exist anymore, though... I want to replay Crystal now and maaaaybe evolve my Bayleef after the E4.

I don't think it looks derpy. It just looks weird because we are not used to seeing Meganium with such a smug expression on her face.

In the official art, her neck is longer, her head is a lot smaller compared to her body and she looks more harmless and friendly in general.

The gen 2 artwork was very similar to this one, so the huge head, shorter neck, smug face and bulky body were probably the result of GBC limitations. But I think it looks a lot better that way. It makes me want to evolve Bayleef, while the intended design is just boring as hell.

I doubt a fruit-dinosaur could have that much strength. I mean, is it even possible to crush someone's head using fruits? I don't know what Meganium is made of, but it's definitely not flesh. Its body is probably as hard as an apple or some other green fruit. They hurt when thrown as projectiles I guess, but apple jaws wouldn't be able to rip a pokemon's head off.
