What do you think the point of Alolan Meowth is? It doesn't look that different than normal Meowth, it just has more personality. I like it and kinda want to use it, since there hasn't really been a reason to use Meowth/Persian for several generations, but I'm not sure what we're going to get gameplay-wise outside of the shift to Dark type... or what it's going to look like as Persian either.

It's moves and stats are obviously going to be different.
I think they also wanted give the Skull grunts and/or Aether employees a standard mon.

To fix their mistakes.
To me the meowth line should have been dark since day 1
I mean just fucking look at Persian's pokedex entry and movepool
Heck, it learns more dark moves than bisharp
