As a person who has always loved fire as an element in media, I can't disagree with this. I hate how GF just shits on my favorite element. Charizard is probably the only genuinely good fire starter, though I like Blaziken and Infernape too.

I think water has had overall the best starters.

It's funny because Grass feels like it's the "3rd wheel" starter type. But Gamefreak put the most effort into it when it comes to starters.

Grass has always been great. The only one i never really liked was Meganium but that's just cuz it's kinda useless in gen 2 and in competitive.

There has yet to be a good Fire-Type starter. Both in terms of design and in-game ability.

Grass and Water are on pretty even terms. Both have had good or great Starters with one shit one in 7 gens. (Chikorita and Oshawott)
