Thats not true. Charizard was UU in Gen 1, and BL in Gen 2 and 3, having a decent niche in both OU metagames.

It really only became dogshit in Gen 4 with Stealth Rock. They tried to give it a niche with Solar Power in Gen 5 which was a pretty decent attempt (it hit like a fucking truck as a result) and a good prediction assuming that weather would be as strong as it was. Granted it was still NU in Gen 5, but there was an attempt.


It really only heavily suffered in Gen 4. 4chan just liked to meme about it.

It bothers me a little that Venusaur and Blastoise can't have 2 mega forms too.

Also, Stealth Rocks are more common than zubats, that's why i always carry a defogger in my team.

My only problem with Zard is that I can never fucking predict which mega will be. Yeah you can usually tell it's Y if someone is running Starmie and Latty, but some people are just insane and run Y alongside 3 others physical attackers and I just predict wrong.
