Typhlosion learns Flamethrower at level 42 in HG/SS. Heracross gets Megahorn at 55, but gets Close Combat at 37. That said, I kinda feel like Cyndaquil is a bit worse in HG/SS because there aren't any Fire Punch/Thunder Punch TMs.
