First, each board’s bills must have some universal features and be internally consistent. As you can see here, /vp/’s template contains the six required features:

1. The value, both in numeral and word (Internets are pegged to the US Dollar at 100INT = 1USD)
2. The board's name and central bank
3. A clover watermark
4. moot's tripcode in proper font, color and format (think of a treasurer’s signature)
5. A legal tender notice
6. Dimensions of 1000x2000 px (500x1000 px for small versions)

These are the following denominations:

-1,000
-5,000
-10,000
-100,000
-1,000,000

Overall, /vp/’s bills are minimalist, owing to Pokémon being largely a children’s series. I took inspiration from the New Zealand dollar and the Euro. Each bill’s basic color reflects the first six games: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Silver and Gold.

First the red 500 bill. One of /vp/’s earliest creations, the frog monster Tentaquil vomits blood as its signature attack. Superimposed all over the bill are water features and the text of the original post.

Next the green 1000 bill. On the left, Rayquaza majestically flies amid a storm while stating its infamous tagline. Megafug, the Pokémon that created a new tier in competitive battling, is imposed on the right.

I’ll have to admit, Fug is one of my favorite maymays and I’m very pleased with the way it turned out, especially the hurricane texture on the left Rayquaza.

For the blue 5000 bill, I chose a portrait honoring Showderp, one of /vp/’s most iconic “communities”. The dreamteam of Specs Weedle, Citizen Snips, Boom Boom, Blood Waifu, Funbro (RIP) and D O G A R S are depicted removing the meanie genie.

I realize that Showderp is one of the more polarizing threads on /vp/, but I chose the themes on iconicism.

The yellow 10,000 bill is an abstract representation of LEAKS season. The presentation is chaotic and confused, with screencaps and the most infamous leaks scattered around the canvas. Superimposed over the whole bill is Picasso’s WWI painting, “Guernica” which I chose to reflect the hype of leak threads.

Out of all my bills, this one is my least favorite, I welcome any comments on how to change it.

The silver 100,000 bill is a tribute to one of the biggest shitshows this board has ever seen, when the Gen 3 remakes were announced. Water trumpets are in the foreground, with the Weather Trio arguing over the details in the background.

Yes, I decided to repeat Fug, but it fit too well. I don’t know if the HOENN CONFIRMED text works or not, tell me what you think.

The highest bill, the gold 1,000,000, is vaguely similar to a yen bill. Featuring a portrait of the man who started it all, Satoshi Tajiri (complete with his signature I grabbed from a video of an autographed card), the lotus like seal is a remake of the original Japanese box art of Red and Green versions. A Game Freak watermark covers the central oval, framed with a wreath of tall grass.

I’m proud of how the seal turned out, I made almost everything from scratch. I’ll post it separate if you’d like.

Because I like currency designs and I need to practice Photoshop more.

/x/ bills will be dark and somber, spooky typographies, thinking of basing them off of the US dollar. The themes, subject to change:
500 - Slenderman
1,000 - Chaos Magick/Divination
5,000 - Summoning demons
10,000 - Cthulu
100,000 - Ayyliens
1,000,000 - The Illuminati
