How do you all play new pokémon games?
1. Just run through blindly
2. Play blind but carefully explore every inch to find all items, TMs, NPCs etc.
3. Play blind but not only explore every inch, also stay on each route until you caught every available pokémon to fill your pokédex on the go
4. Use a guide to run through fast
5. Use a guide to play but explore to find everything.
6. Use a guide and do the same as #3, find everything and catch everything before moving on
If you use a guide, what kind of guide? Do you just use any online guide or do you go out and buy the official guide book?

I do 2 then after the main story and/or post game I go back and do 3, the last time I used a official guide was for emerald to do the Regi puzzle and now when something like that comes up, I use the internet.

Do you guys even go out of your way to try and put the pokemon in visually fitting balls or is it just a dex thing?
