An ice type weakness is immediately regarded as END OF THE WORLD, a grass type weakness is disregarded.

Grass types have 5 useful support moves and they are all used.
Ice has haze and that's distributed to a bunch of poison types

Grass is also an extremely potent support type. Grass types frequently have incredibly wide movepools, and they get some of the coolest gimmick abilities too. They get Leech Seed, Spore, Spore immunity, and resistances to GROUND AND WATER.
Grass type is NOT BAD and IT NEVER HAS BEEN.
The only way it will ever become bad is if Water types and Earthquake stop being good.

Water types usually carry an ice move, making the Water weakness to Grass void.

Correction, special attacking offensive water types usually carry an ice move.
Physical water types get shitall for ice coverage, and the vast majority of water pokemon usually have Scald as their only attacking move because the rest of their movelist is full of support moves.

Grass types are still one of the only types that can resist water AND have a chance to actually fight back instead of starting a stall war. That's a big deal and ice beam doesn't negate it as much as /vp/ thinks it does.

Ice should definitely resist water as well as grass, because why not.

I'm not even talking just Talonflame, especially since it doesn't really help with that case since it has fire moves. Hurricane, Aerialate Return, Mega Fug, Brave Bird from other shit, the fact that a dual typing with flying is almost always incredibly good.
