The reason the battle was allowed to go on for so long is because rocks couldn't stay on the field. If it wasn't so easy to remove them, this would not have gone on for this long.

They can't chain switch like that if SR is on the field. That's why traditionally having rapid spin was so important for stall teams while offensive teams seldom carried a spinner. Now that everything with wings gets defog though, you can't keep entry hazards up.

A combination of defog being so widely distributed and Smogon banning every major offensive threat is what causes this shit.

Unranked battlespot is fun. You never know what you'll be up against. Sometimes it'll be an overpowered team you just happen to be weak too, sometimes it'll be something you can sweep easily, sometimes it'll be a close match.
