I agree. I assume most here dont get that moment becasue it wasnt new for them, it was an old movie featuring old Pokemon. Generations or mega Xs reveal is the closest they get to being that "holy shit what's that" feeling. We always get new pokemon now so unless they megavole or have 6 forms it isnt that new and people barely care. The age and progression of the series makes moments like that much less special, since revealing new Pokemon is no longer unexpected.

This battle is FAR better then the one in OP's post. Ash faces a trainer without an overpowered team, yet looses two rounds rather then the curbstomp in OP's post. The opposing pokemon use the environment of the battle location to interesting effect. And the ground type Pokemon actually has the resistance it should to Pikachu's electricity, requiring an actual tactical use of provided momentum to actually get a victory, rather then breaking the rules of the setting.
