If you want my personal advice, I always do my items runs on Saturdays after I've done Victini. If there's anything close to leveling up after having gone to Victini, I take it to Ampharos for a few runs and then go into the competition. It's great as time management practice because I learned what I need to do and when I need to do it before a Saturday comp run.

1. get up to m-gengar asap

Right now, I'd suggest trying some of the special stages. Obviously you won't be able to take on something like Zygarde or Slaking right now, but they'll get reruns eventually and likely whenever you've become more competent at the game.

Try going after Wobbuffet, the Daily Pokemon, the Safari, and at least up to Lv30 on Keldeo. You can try tackling regular Beedrill as well if you have Mega Slowbro. You can also do an itemless run on Mega Beedrill for a free Attack Power + if you get the lowest prize bracket. If you have the coins and team for it, definitely go after Dialga. Otherwise, just focus on the main stages.

Beedril needs 15 icons to evolve. You can feed her 12. So that means she will evolve after a single 3match if fully maxed. Effect is similar to tyranitar but only 1 big space (3x3) instead of 3 single small ones.
Even if you dont max it, its on the same level as a maxed tyranitar as they both need 15 icons to mega evolve, so its def. good to have her. After that you can always feed her 3 candies and see how it works out. Even if she is at 3x 3match thats pretty fast. Also: if she is mega evolved and you use her to make your next match you will halt disruptions for one turn, which is nice.

I did it last week after I finished Darkrai. Thing about have a team of maxers is when everyone is crying about needing M+5 to beat an escalation stage I just go without and clear it about 50% of them. Only need them for reassurance on rages.

Plus Ampharos grinding is way more fun than Meowth grinding. Go in without any supereffectives and it actually becomes a fun game trying to clear the stage. Also I do it while watching Tv shows so I'm being a useless piece of shit at double time.

Man this escalation sucks, if only Keldeo had 70 BP or RMLs...

I don't even remember what was it that I grinded last time, but I remember using M-Banette, Chandelure, Spiritomb and whatever Pokémon I was grinding, I would use that team so the Pokémon I wanted to grind would always get the crown and level up faster unless I wanted to grind more than one, but Chandelure eventually reached level 10, Spiritomb level 7 and I ran out of worthwhile stuff to grind, I've even been taking Perfect Zygarde and Arceus to Victini for a while now and they're both sitting at level 9 currently

Its Black Smash+ Mew. You would only use it for the first half of the game to get faster rid off the starting blocks

First of all, Deoxys and Cress are both bad at dealing with the disruption. However a lucky Deoxys trigger might spawn them in the right position and create additional combos and skyfall. Also swap seems to be better on a high level than barrier bash.

I used Cress as I wanted something reliable for 4matches. Just take the one thats higher leveled for you.
