Why has no one made a proper fangame where you join the evil guys?

I wouldn't say they were 'in the right' but rather that they're the only team with a noble goal through and through. Just....stupid enough to not realize the consequences until it was too late.
[spoilers] They are most probably the canonical team on Hoenn too because Archie not realizing something so big is understandable as he's driven by emotion, but Maxie not realizing about the havoc his plan would cause not to pokémon but HUMANS it's just plain stupid, he's supposed to be a scientist, and a hella good one. I'm the minority here probably, but the team I agree with the most was Team Plasma.

Bringing up the ethical dilemma of using pokemon to fight eachother and using them as tools was a pretty smart thing to do.

But I'm one of those animal rights veganfags.

They're also more canonical because hiding out near the ocean and finding kyogre on the seafloor makes way more sense.

Team Aqua is probably one of the more sympathetic teams, since their overall intent of spreading water to allow life to flourish is alright. It's their general means and losing control of kyogre that fucked them.

Their plan to cause Mt. Chimney to become dormant is a better example. It would have made a new lake habitat sure, but it'd screw over the fire types.

The flaw in Team Aqua's plan is that pokemon can live anywhere.

There was a romhack I saw a few years ago called Pokemon Purple version or Poison Purple or something like that, where you played as a team rocket grunt and had the options of Rattata, Ekans, and I think Koffing for starters, you'd be able to steal one of a trainer's Pokemon after beating them, that kinda thing. It was in the really early stages when I found it, not sure if it ever got developed further.
