I think alot of the hate of Iris comes from how the Anime portrayed her. Alot more people probably get their ideas of characters from the anime because most people are too poor to buy the games. For people who only play the games they probably love Iris and thought she was an excellent champion.

I would have preferred Drayden as champ in B2 with Iris as champ in W2. She didn't really do anything in Black 1 so her being in Champion in B2 didn't have the same impact it did in W2. Great theme and background though.
