Of course, If I ever go with a boosting set and the mon is decently fast, I got with a positive speed nature.
I also prefer Download for the chance of a general boost to all my moves instead of one, but that's just me.
>>28743133
So you run Timid with Nasty Plot?
Yeah I know Download is more versatile, but that 2x STAB on Tri Attack is monstrous.
Also if you're facing a mon with high SpDef you get fucked.

I actually run a Modest, Choice-Trick set on my Poyrgon-Z, but I'd go with Timid if I ran NP.
That's true, but you should probably wait to sweep and bring in a wallbreaker if their Special wall is still around.
>>28743170
>Modest, Choice Trick
How do you use it? I'm only familiar with the most common sweeping sets for Pory-Z, I've never used Trick on it.
Do you often get outsped and OHKO?
>wait to sweep and bring in a wallbreaker
Probably.
Or run Hyper Beam and murder Blissey.
>>28743198
It's 3 coverage moves and Trick. My set is basically this.
Porygon-Z
Ability-Download
Item:Choice Scarf
-Tri Attack
-Dark Pulse
-Ice Beam
-Trick
You hit a high enough speed tier to move faster than pretty much the entire unboosted metagame while retaining decent power thanks to a Modest nature and Download.
It's best used as a revenge killer and Trick is for ruining walls like Chansey.
>>28743225
Alright, thanks.
Does the lack of a life orb or nasty plot boost preven you from hitting as hard as you'd want? I suppose not if you use it as a revenge killer, but is it viable as a suicide lead? I mostly play BS singles.
What's the rest of your team?
>>28743261
I wouldn't suggest it as lead imo, but it could be usable.
I don't have a set team, I usually just build around a certain Pokemon or two and go from there.

>>28743350
I meant Agility by itself with Tri+two coverage moves. Get switched onto something that boosts your Sp Att with Download, boost, and then sweep with +1 and LO strong attacks.
It's why I use my Porygon as a revenge killer, it always misses OHKO's just barely, even at +1, but with Life Orb too? Now that's some damage.
Anyway,I'm gonna head to bed now, was nice talking to you anon.

Unless you're trying to set up on something like mega Lucario or Gengar which is stupid, you're probably not getting OHKO'd
>>28744871
No, but what switches in on the set up likely will and it will 2hko anything. It just enables it, in a 6v6 format, to take out a guaranteed Pokemon. And usually after said wall switches in the sweeps east, especially if hazards are up.

>>28747211
>all the 110 pokemon
Out of all those, how many are viable enough to stand up to Garchomp?
>>28747023
>>28747326
It sounds like you view Scarf as a sort of "patch" for low speed. While it can be, it's not necessarily the case.
Garchomp's got a really damn nice speed tier, but you can almost always use more speed. Garchomp is actually a well known scarf user, given it's unusual 102 base speed. What's nice is that this allows it to outspeed other Scarf users or +1 speed base 100's (and lower), which is really common. Megazard X, Volcarona, Gyarados, Hydreigon, maybe even an uncommon Kyurem-B set. Just a few examples.
Furthermore, there's also common non-Scarfed pokemon that do reach above Garchomp's speed tier. Keldeo (if Timid), Lati@s, M-Metagross, Raikou, Thunudurs. There's a host of other Pokemon that might not threaten Garchomp directly, bu Garchomp's bulk is still good enough with little investment for a sweeper that it can serve it's purpose.

Hidden Power Ice
Horn Leech
Earthquake
Bounce/Rock Slide/Surf
Outdated spread, but can survive a sun-boosted flame thrower from Timid Char Y and OHKO back with Rock Slide.
Mostly an offensive pivot and eventual death fodder, can switch into multiple ice beams and heal a bit back or get lucky para's with bounce.
Gogoat base 97 special attack is underrated, HP Ice hits incoming Gliscor forcing them to Roost and giving me a free switch.
Regenerator Slowbro/Rotom Heat is a good partner, Scald/Wow burns help cushion physical blows for it.
I have a Grass Pelt one that I use in multi/doubles, the def boost and recovery from Grassy Terrain make it bulky as fuck, and hits hard with boosted Horn Leech.
Sometimes I run Choice Band, or I use Swords Dance. It's hard to choose between Mega and normal because even though Mega form is better, it's nice to be able to use mons that are usually pretty mediocre otherwise.
Megahorn
Poison Jab
Earthquake
Swords Dance
A lot of people just use it for baton pass, but if there's no Skarmory around, it can clean house pretty easily after one boost. I usually go with Lum Berry so I can set up when something tries to status me
