Gamefreak is working on making a NX port and have been doing it in secret. It will be releasing on the launch day of NX system.

The NX version will have updated graphics, and features a different UI style designed for one screen. Dual screened mode will be exactly the same as 3DS version.

And the rotom dex's minimap. It will show up as a circular semi-transparent map in one screened mode.

And about the remakes, it's also confirmed. But it will not be worked on, until NX version is completely finished.

GF didnt do Z/XY sequel so they wont bother with Sun and moon sequel either. Specially since they've shown they can just connect old legendary with new region no problem. Marshadow will be in gen 8 simple as that

It's still too early. Remakes don't come until you can't play that game on the system anymore. You can still play DP on a new 3ds.
