Well, we don't know how Z forms work. Maybe Z forms are customizable (because they use your trainer appearance) overpowered forms stronger than megas but if your Z is defeated you automatically lose (because trainer and pokemon are connected).

Well, we don't even know if Z forms are even a thing, much less if Ash-Greninja is one. It could just be akin to a mega, if anything.

As for the poses, characters mimic other characters' poses all the time, especially in anime and especially with the poses in your pic.

This isn't me being a Z-form denialpal. I'm just curious as to why we think we're getting something that sounds exactly like mega evolution based off of an anime character and conjecture.

I think Z forms could be a thing. They'd work like Megas albeit they'd be a bit weaker as you can have both a Mega and a Z form in a Team.
Also NFE Pokemon would be able to get Z forms

Doesn't that only work because Rayquaza in ORAS swallowed its mega stone? So only that special Rayquaza would be able to mega evolved without a stone. I wouldn't be surprised if they altered that mechanic in Gen 7. Maybe going as far as upon importing ORAS Rayqyaza into SM, it coughs up the Rayqyazite, forcing it to need that held item to Mega evolve.
