yes, it's easier to win Leaf Stones (and all others) that way because you won't get one until you reach Kanto way after Elite 4 (at Bill's Grandpa, Leafstone in Viridian Forest).

Victreebel is fucking good either way to have. rather strong grass type. it learns Leafblade and Leafstorm rather late though. (almost lvl. 50)
