Today I stopped by Junichi Masuda’s house because we were friends in high school and I wanted to say hello. I asked if I could take a peek at a new Pokémon for Sun & Moon. He said yes as long as I don’t take any pictures, but I snapped a pic when he wasn’t looking as payback for that one time he dumped a packet of salt on my chicken patty while I was in the bathroom! That’ll teach you some respect, Mr. Masuda!

This new Pokémon is named Shih Tpost. It is Paper/Steel type, Paper being a new type to be introduced in Sun & Moon. I was also able to email Shih Tpost’s description to myself while Mr. Masuda was in the bathroom.

Tiny and full of energy, the Paper/Steel-type Shih Tpost spends its days running around neighborhoods and stealing papers. It packs papers it steals in the steel mailbox around its body.

When it sees paper, Shih Tpost cannot resist the urge to steal it. Trainers are advised to keep their bills on surfaces Shih Tpost can’t steal their papers.

Shih Tpost’s unique ability, Paper Steal, allows it to steal Paper-type moves. When hit with a Paper-type move, Shih Tpost will not take any damage and its Defense will rise!

So what do you guys think? I think Pokémon Sun & Moon is shaping up to be the best generation yet!
