Proper first Gen 2 Pokémon, before I even knew it was a thing I think. I know we had Togepi and a hint of Ho-Oh waaay back, but this was different. There was just something about being a little kid in a theatre full of other kids, with that battle and the music pumping in the first ever Poké movie.

Then fucking dinosaur-Donphan, "I'm a fucking tractor tyre", gets released… and it's all just too much.
