How would you feel if Gamefreak made the following changes to the next mainline game:
>You now carry a laptop with you that functions as a portable PC for storing/healing pokemon
>Trainer NPCs are much harder (ie: higher level mons, better type coverage, not retarded AI)
>Gym Leaders always have 6 pokemon and a very well made team/gimmick
>all healing items have their in-game prices increased

Nah, the portable laptop would make the game too easy.
>trainer NPCs become actually difficult
>gym leaders have full teams
Those are good
>all healing items have their in-game prices increased
Considering how easy it is to earn money in Pokemon, this is inconsequential.
If anything, healing your pokemon at a pokemon center should be a paid service (like 1000 pokebucks or something).
Also, remove most healing items altogether
Only keep the following
>Potion
>Super Potion
>Hyper Potion
>Revive
>status heals (but not the Full Heal)
There. Also keep the alternative healing items like the Lava Cookie or whatever. But items like the Max Potion are retarded.

Why do you guys keep complaining about casualization but then suggest things like this?

Its something I've thought should be added since I was a kid.
Every single NPC trainer in the world has a full health team when you run into them.
So why not make it so that it doesn't really matter if damage/status carries over after battles, and just make each individual NPC battle a lot harder?
Its not as if having to use a potion or two after a few battles really makes the game any harder. Just make items more of an in-battle thing, and make the battles way harder, while making it easier to heal up after battles.

Then the laptop should stop working inside caves, forests, underwater, inside the pokemon league, and inside gyms at the very least

That sounds fair, reception would get too shitty to transfer anything to pokecenters.
>>28659464
>bad. managing your health on a particularly long route is challenging, which is a good thing
>great
>maybe past the third/fourth gym
>not sure what this would add
it's minor, but i think having a pc inside the gym would save a bit of time. keep it by the entrance though

Indiferrent since they didn't remove last 3-4 gens of shitmons and Digivolution
Make the laptop's healing limited. Maybe it only works on one pokemon at a time, and you can only use it three times. You will restore your charges after healing up at a pokemon center.
