You realize that even if they learned EXACTLY the same moves....
Just by having them have be a different type is more than "aesthetic".

That being said, I doubt their stats will wind up being different. (Though I do expect different movepools.)

Yes but I'm not including type I'm saying in general cuz I keep seeing people say "OH THEY'RE GONNA GET STAT BOOST HURR DEE HURR DEE DURR" and also not the point of the thread, but still welcomed

I think stat differences is likely, though I'm not 100% sure, it'd feel like a missed opportunity to truly reinvigorate these mons if it was anything less.

New movepools is something I'm a lot more curious about though. Something like Alolan Marowak, which evolves from standard Cubone, is going to have moves from it's pre-evolutions obviously, but will Vulpix/Ninetales have any of their past fire moves? Will their egg moves be the same as standard Ninetales?

I can't wait for these games to be datamined.

They'll likely have the same BST but redistributed like scyther/scizor
