I don't even know why those exist anymore. It makes no sense most of the time and it's never served any purpose.
What they should do is replace the "Species name" from the dex with one of the egg groups (it would require renaming most of them to avoid confusion). It's been years since breeding was introduced and we still don't have an ingame way to see which Pokemon can breed without trial and error in a game with over 700 distinct creatures
